Write your book online, from first idea to finished manuscript.
Never written a book before? Bookh is an AI writing co-pilot that lives in your browser. It turns a half-formed idea into a synopsis, a chapter plan and, page by page, a manuscript that is unmistakably yours.
Right in your browser
No installs to start. Open a tab and your book is there.
Saves as you write
Your chapters autosave while you work, so you can just keep going.
Keeps going offline
Lose the connection and keep writing. Bookh syncs when you’re back.
Phone-friendly too
A mobile editor for the line that arrives on the bus.
The whole journey, in one place
Writing a book feels huge because nobody tells you the order of things. Bookh does.
Choose what you’re making
A fiction novel, a biography or memoir, a screenplay, or a collection of short stories and essays. Already started? You can bring the book you’ve begun.
Answer a few gentle questions
Genre, themes, how long it should be (a short story, novella, novel or series) and the language you’ll write in. If you already know your hero, your villain or your narrator’s tense, add them; if not, skip it.
Find your premise
Have an idea? Write it down in your own words. Not sure yet? Bookh suggests several vivid premises, each a title and a short hook, for you to pick from.
Read your book’s back cover
Bookh drafts a synopsis like the blurb on a jacket, so you can see the whole story before you commit to a single chapter.
Shape your chapters
Get a chapter outline with a beginning, a turning point, a climax and an ending, plus scene beats inside every chapter. Rename, reorder, add or delete chapters, or ask for a new version of one.
Write, with a co-pilot beside you
Draft in a full rich-text editor. When a sentence stalls, Nudge suggests a few words you can accept or ignore. The Lore Vault quietly remembers who’s who and where everything happened.
Revise and export your manuscript
Bring scenes alive with the Sensory Expander, make dialogue sound spoken with the Dialogue Naturalizer, then export to Word, PDF or HTML for readers, editors or agents.
Writing is still yours. The weight doesn’t have to be.
Writers have always finished books on their own, and they always will. Here’s where a co-pilot changes the feel of the work.
| Moment | Writing alone | With Bookh |
|---|---|---|
| The blank page | You wait for the idea to arrive fully formed. | You start from a spark and choose among premises, or write your own. |
| Seeing the shape | The structure lives in your head, or on a pile of sticky notes. | A synopsis and a chapter outline with scene beats, editable at any time. |
| Remembering details | You scroll back through chapters to check a name or a scar. | The Living Lore Vault keeps characters, places, items and events in one place. |
| Mid-sentence stalls | You stare at the cursor. | Nudge offers a few words. Tab to continue, Esc to dismiss. |
| Sounding like you | Your voice is yours, but it’s easy to drift across months of sessions. | Voice & Style learns from a sample of your own writing so suggestions stay in your voice. |
| Final say | Every word is yours. | Every word is still yours. Bookh offers, and you decide. |
Bookh is a co-pilot, not autopilot: keep a suggestion only when it sounds like you.
The worries every first book brings
I don’t know where to start.
Start with a sentence. Bookh walks you from that spark to a premise, a synopsis and a plan, one small step at a time.
I’ll lose track of my own story.
Your outline stays beside the editor, and the Lore Vault remembers the people and places you’ve already created.
I don’t want a robot writing my book.
Neither do we. Suggestions are optional, they follow your voice, and you can wave any of them away.
Good questions before you begin
Do I need to install anything to write my book online?
No. Bookh is built to run in your web browser. A desktop app is also planned for writers who prefer a dedicated window.
Can I write on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Bookh has a mobile editor for writing on the go, though the full editor and all its tools work best on a computer.
What happens if my internet drops while I’m writing?
Bookh autosaves as you write and has an offline mode, so you can keep going. Your changes sync when you reconnect.
I’ve never written a book. Is Bookh too advanced for me?
Bookh is designed with first-time authors in mind. The setup asks a few simple questions, the optional craft details can be skipped, and you can rewrite the synopsis or outline whenever you like.
Can I bring a book I’ve already started?
Yes. When you create a book you can choose “I’ve already started my book” instead of starting from a blank page.
Is Bookh available yet?
Not yet. Bookh is coming soon. Join the waitlist on this page to hear first when early access opens.
